BJP Raises Its Voice Against Corruption

Dharamshala, December 16:  Corruption has been one of the key elements that has caused the popularity of Congress to shrink. The ongoing 6 day winter session of Dharamshala Vidhan Sabha has been an exhibition of angst pertaining to corruption charges against Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh. The protest is being led by Leader of the Opposition Prof PK Dhumal.

The state of Himachal has seen disorganized activity from the time that Congress came into power. It is about time the government is held accountable. There were many issues that were raised in the Vidhan Sabha by the leader of opposition in order to get a healthy debate with the ruling leaders. BJP’s demand for an adjournment motion was ignored stating that a collection of issues cannot be addressed during the adjournment motion. An excuse that made it obvious the congress leaders were trying to dodge the questions that would be asked.

The present Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh has in return targeted the HPCA everytime a corruption case emerges about him. He has refused to answer key questions raised by senior leaders of the BJP. He has also refused to face any inquiry, while reports continue to emerge in the media about his irregular transactions.
