Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs, Anurag Thakur visited Barsar in Himachal in order to interact with the people of his constituency and discuss their problems.
MoS Thakur declared that his constituents had given him a historic edge in the last Lok Sabha elections, and he wanted to take this opportunity to thank them. He recollected that it was at an election rally in Bilaspur when Union Home Minister Amit Shah had declared Min Thakur would be given an important responsibility. Accordingly, Prime Minister Modi has appointed him Minister of State, which responsibility he consistently strives to do well.
He said that the PM has set a target of advancing the country's economy to $5 trillion and he was sure that this target would be achieved by the year 2024-25. Under the leadership of PM Modi, the government was taking important and tough decisions which were clearly reflected in the abolition of the provisions of Article 370 and 35A.
He declared that plantation, water harvesting, and a plastic-free society need to be prioritised. He added that all people should contribute actively to the cleanliness campaign. Self-help groups doing good work in making products from waste materials would be allied with select companies.
He visited several other places in his constituency where he was given a warm welcome by the public and members of the BJP.
