Sansad Bharat Darshan is an initiative of Hon'ble Union Cabinet Minister Sh. Anurag Singh Thakur Ji for the students of his Parliamentary Constituency, Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh. Meritorious students and achievers in different domains are taken on an educational tour to different parts of the country to provide them exposure to various academic, administrative, cultural, historic, ecological and corporate centers. The objective is to provide a vision to the students, enhance their confidence and prepare them to be future leaders.
Previously, students were taken to metro cities like Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad wherein they went to places such as National Defence Academy (NDA), Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Western Naval Command, MIT peace dome, Raj Kapoor Memorial, Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) etc. and had interactive sessions with celebrities like Chetan Bhagat, Suniel Shetty and Mohammad Azharuddin to ensure that a holistic exposure is provided to them.
The experiential study tour began with a visit to the highest office of the country, the Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi. And ending their excursion on a high note, the students were invited at the residence of the then Vice President of India, Sh. Venkaiah Naidu Ji where he interacted with students about the importance of parents & teachers, right values in life, taking pride in their mother tongue and motherland.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Domiciled resident of Hamirpur Parliamentary Constituency
- Meritorious record in Senior Secondary (Class 12th) examination in 2021/2022/2023
- Also, Students below the age of 18 years who have done exceptional work in the fields of arts, sports, performing arts, etc can apply
2023 GIRLS TOUR:
The first round of Sansad Bharat Darshan 2023 has been concluded, wherein 21 girls were taken on a tour to Delhi, Uttar Pradesh from 31st July to 7th August. The group of girls met Hon'ble Vice President, Hon'ble Lok Sabha Speaker, Hon'ble Finance Minister, Sh. JP Nadda ji and other dignitaries in Delhi. A special recording session at Akashvani Bhawan was scheduled for them where All India Radio broadcasted a live discussion with the group and Doordarshan also aired the activities. The group travelled from Vande Bharat to Banaras where they had sessions at Banaras Hindu University, attended the Ganga Arti and a special cruise tour of the mighty Ganges was arranged for them. The group also visited the holy Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the ancient Sarnath Stupa. From Banaras, the group headed to Ayodhya for darshan of Ram Lala and witnessed the construction of Ram Mandir. After paying respects at Hanuman Garhi and Kanak Mahal, the group met with the royal dynast family of Ayodhya over lunch and interacted with poet Sh. Yatindra Mishra. The tour then proceeded to Lucknow to meet Hon'ble UP CM Sh. Yogi Adityanath Ji at his residence. In Lucknow, the group also visited Vidhan Sabha and met Hon'ble Speaker Sh. Satish Mahana ji, attended sessions at IIM, CDRI, Railway Protection Force Academy, Sports Authority of India and met with folk singer Malini Awasthi Ji. On their way back to JLN Stadium Delhi, the group visited the iconic Taj Mahal in Agra. Before leaving for Himachal, the group went to corporate office of Zomato in Gurgaon, Territorial Army Base and had a round table conference with Hon'ble Minister Sh. Anurag Singh Thakur.
