Taking the commitment to make India TB Free by 2025 forward, TB Free India Summit 2019 and MP’s XI & CM’s XI TB Cricket Tournament was organized on 2nd & 3rd February 2019 at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, New Delhi.

 

In an attempt to support the initiative of Government of India and Honorable Prime Minister’s vision of making India TB Free by 2025, a TB Summit and Cricket Tournament was organized. The cricket tournament was played between State teams of Delhi, Haryana, Uttarakhand & Punjab comprising State Ministers, Member of Parliaments and Member of Legislative Assemblies.

 

The event was attended by over 150 delegates including Union & State Health Ministers, 20 Bollywood Celebrities, 30 Members of Parliament (across party lines), International Health Experts Organisations and Senior Government officials.

 

The ‘TB FREE INDIA’ SUMMIT 2019 & MP’s XI & CM’s XI TB Cricket Tournament brought together Chief Ministers, Health Ministers, Member of Parliaments, Member of Legislative Assembly, International Health Experts, Senior Government Officials, Corporate Heads and partner NGO’s to reaffirm India’s commitment to eradicating TB by 2025.

 

Apart from the members of the participating teams, the key dignitaries who attended the summit and cricket match were:

• Actor Vatsal Seth, etc. to name a few

 

The event garnered participation from several school and college students who not only enjoyed the cricket match but also were made aware about TB and the means to curb it.

The relevant stakeholders involved engaged in meaningful dialogues and sessions and established their commitment towards making India TB Free by 2025.
